Right now, I manage a team of 7 and I am proud that our turnover has increased 32% since last year. I recently recorded a detailed online lesson titled “First Steps into Opening a Salon” for an online event, and it got me thinking deeply about this subject from the very beginning.

Finding your WHY
In today’s modern era, we are bombarded with influences from all directions, especially on social media. The pressure to compare ourselves with others has never been more significant. It’s so easy to lose sight of our own unique path and unintentionally follow someone else’s footsteps.
Have your ever asked yourself WHY you do what you do? Does it bring joy and growth?
Being an entrepreneur doesn’t always mean opening a salon. Sometimes, external pressures or the allure of certain ideas can push us into a predetermined mold that might not align with our true desires. There are times in our lives, when we look through the “pink glasses”, right?
I want to emphasize that there are countless ways for you to achieve growth and success on your journey. You have the power to shape your own destiny, whether it’s establishing your own training academy, creating a professional product line, or simply enjoying the freedom and flexibility of working independently.
Every option comes with its own set of advantages and disadvantages, but what truly matters is where your passion lies? Where is your drive coming from?
Ask yourself:
– Do you love witnessing transformations and seeing your clients’ joyful faces?
– Are you driven by the idea of becoming an influential leader and empowering others to grow?
– Does the thought of teaching and sharing your knowledge with fellow entrepreneurs excite you?
– Are you fueled by innovation and constantly seeking new opportunities?
Here’s my advice: always lead with your heart when it comes to your business. Don’t be swayed solely by others’ examples or financial calculations. Choose the path that genuinely resonates with you and refine your goals accordingly. When you truly love what you do, it becomes easier to stay motivated, work tirelessly, and build a thriving business.
Remember, your energy is boundless when you’re pursuing your true passion. If you’re currently working from home and dreaming of opening your own salon, take a moment to reflect:
– Are you ready to step into the role of an influential leader? You’ll be responsible for managing a team and guiding them through both successes and challenges.
– Are you willing to dedicate two or even three times more effort than the average person in the next five years?
– What ignites your energy? You’ll constantly be giving your all, so it’s crucial to find ways to replenish it.
– Are you certain that owning a salon isn’t just a picturesque daydream? (You might catch glimpses of me with a Makita tool in my stories—entrepreneurial life can be quite diverse!)
