How Often Should You Get a Pedicure? A Guide from Juli

Written by Juli, Founder of Juli Lash Studio, Reading

Hi lovely,
One of the most common questions I get asked — especially after someone’s just had a heavenly spa pedicure — is:

“So… how often should I come in for this?”

And honestly? There’s no one-size-fits-all answer. But don’t worry — I’ve got some real-world advice that can help you figure out what works best for your feet, your lifestyle, and your goals.

📆 There’s No Perfect Number — But Here’s My Rule of Thumb

For most of my clients, a pedicure every 4 to 6 weeks is ideal.
That allows us to:

  • Keep the skin soft and hydrated

  • Manage calluses before they build up

  • Maintain healthy nails and cuticles

  • And keep your polish (or BIAB) looking fresh

But there are always exceptions, and that’s where it gets personal.

🧴 If You’re Dealing with Dry Feet or Cracked Heels…

You’ll want a more targeted approach.
I usually recommend:

  • Elim Pedicure every 2–4 weeks to repair deep cracks

  • Alternating with a Spa Pedicure for hydration and comfort

  • Using a quality homecare product like Footlogix mousse or Elim heel balm to maintain results in between

If your heels are dry, flaky, or splitting — more frequent care will heal and smooth them faster (and prevent things from getting worse).

👠 If You’re On Your Feet All Day or Active…

If you’re:

  • Standing for work (nurses, teachers, stylists — I see you!)

  • Walking a lot or hitting the gym

  • Wearing high heels or tight shoes regularly

… your feet are under pressure every day.

In these cases, I usually recommend every 3–4 weeks for either:

  • A Footlogix Pedicure for maintenance

  • Or a Spa Pedicure if you want hydration + relaxation combined

This keeps your skin healthy and reduces foot fatigue — before blisters, dryness, or thick skin sneak in.

💅 If You Wear Gel Polish or BIAB on Your Toes…

While BIAB and gel can last longer than regular polish, it’s still important to:

  • Refresh your nails every 3–5 weeks

  • Avoid overgrowth or lifting

  • Rehydrate the skin around the nail plate and cuticles

Good nails = good maintenance. And a pedicure session helps rebalance everything, especially if you’re between seasons or prepping for holidays.

🧘 If You Just Want It for You (And That’s Totally Valid)

Sometimes, the reason is simple:

“I want to feel good.”
“I need an hour of quiet.”
“I want to take care of myself.”

And for that, I recommend one spa pedicure a month as your little escape.
It’s a small ritual that can have a big impact — mentally and physically.

Your feet carry you through life. Giving them care and attention isn’t indulgent — it’s necessary.
